In these Terms, Glass, we, our, and us refer to Hugo Boutaleb acting in connection with the Glass business and products.

2. Scope

These Terms apply to:

  • the website at glassapp.dev
  • Glass
  • GPUI
  • Glass Bot
  • any related downloads, documentation, and support interactions that link to these Terms

Additional third-party terms may apply where a product or feature depends on third-party services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the website, create an account, purchase a subscription, or use any paid Glass service.

By using the services, you represent that:

  • you are at least 18 years old
  • you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • you will use the services in compliance with applicable law

4. Product-Specific Service Notes

4.1 Glass

Glass is an open source product built from a fork of Zed.

At this time, some optional account, hosted AI, collaboration, or billing-related flows available through Glass may still rely on infrastructure or services operated by Zed or other third parties. When you use those flows, additional third-party terms and privacy notices may apply.

Glass does not represent that all account or hosted-service infrastructure presented inside the current Glass product is independently operated by Glass today.

4.2 GPUI

GPUI is an open source framework distributed primarily through source code repositories and documentation. GPUI is provided without any promise of hosted availability, dedicated support, or paid service continuity unless expressly stated otherwise.

4.3 Glass Bot

Glass Bot is a separately operated service. Glass Bot may include account creation, subscription billing, hosted features, integrations, stored user content, and AI-related functionality.

5. Accounts

Some services require an account.

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate account information
  • keeping your login credentials secure
  • activities that occur through your account
  • notifying Glass promptly if you believe your account has been compromised

Glass may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or compliance obligations.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the services to:

  • violate applicable law
  • infringe the rights of others
  • upload, transmit, or distribute malware or harmful code
  • interfere with the integrity, security, or operation of the services
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or non-public interfaces
  • use the services to harass, defraud, spam, or abuse others
  • submit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, abusive, or deceptive content
  • use AI-related features in ways that violate applicable third-party provider policies

You are responsible for the content you submit and for your use of outputs generated through any AI-related feature.

7. Open Source and Third-Party Services

Certain products, components, and dependencies are provided under open source licenses. Your use of those components is also subject to the terms of the applicable open source licenses.

Glass products may also integrate with or rely on third-party services, including authentication providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, payment processors, model providers, or infrastructure services. Glass is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.

8. Pricing and Billing

Paid features, if offered, will be priced as displayed at the time of purchase or checkout.

Glass may change prices prospectively. Price changes do not apply retroactively.

Where applicable, subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.

For Glass Bot, billing is currently handled through Stripe or related billing tooling selected by Glass.

Under Glass's current French tax status, invoices may be issued under TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI, unless and until Glass's tax treatment changes.

9. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

If you subscribe to a recurring paid service such as Glass Bot:

  • your subscription renews automatically at the billing interval shown at checkout
  • you may cancel at any time before the next renewal date
  • cancellation stops future renewals
  • unless otherwise stated, access continues until the end of the current paid billing period
  • canceling does not automatically create a refund for the already started billing period

Where available, subscription management may be handled through your account settings or Stripe customer portal.

Glass does not currently promise prorated refunds for partially used billing periods, except where required by law or where Glass chooses to resolve a billing issue as a goodwill exception.

10. Refunds and Withdrawal Rights

If you believe you were charged in error, were charged twice, or encountered a clear billing mistake, contact naaiyyyy@gmail.com.

For consumers, mandatory rights under applicable consumer law remain unaffected by these Terms.

If a mandatory withdrawal right applies under your local law, Glass will honor that right to the extent required by law. Where the law permits proportional charges for services already supplied at your request before withdrawal, Glass may deduct the amount corresponding to the service already provided.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude non-waivable consumer rights.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Glass Materials

Unless stated otherwise, the website design, branding, original text, original graphics, and other original Glass content are owned by Glass or used with permission.

11.2 Open Source Projects

Open source repositories and components remain subject to their respective licenses.

11.3 Your Content

If you submit content, prompts, files, messages, or feedback through a Glass-operated service, you retain your rights in that content except to the extent necessary for Glass to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy and these Terms.

You grant Glass a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, transmit, and use that content solely as needed to provide the relevant service.

12. AI and Output Disclaimer

AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for your intended use.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating outputs before relying on them in legal, financial, medical, security, business, or other high-stakes contexts.

Glass does not warrant the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated output.

13. Availability and Changes

Glass may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time.

Glass does not currently provide any uptime guarantee, availability commitment, maintenance window promise, or service level agreement.

14. Termination

Glass may suspend or terminate access to a service if:

  • you materially breach these Terms
  • continued access creates security, legal, abuse, or operational risk
  • a third-party dependency required for the service becomes unavailable
  • Glass reasonably decides to discontinue a product or service

You may stop using the services at any time. If you close an account, some data may remain subject to legal retention obligations or backup cycles as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided "as is" and "as available".

Glass disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation, except where such disclaimers are not permitted by applicable law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glass will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or business interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glass's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a claim under these Terms will not exceed:

  • the total amount you paid to Glass for the relevant paid service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
  • 100 EUR if you did not pay Glass for the relevant service

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law, including certain consumer rights or liability for fraud or willful misconduct where applicable.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.

Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

Glass may update these Terms from time to time.

If changes are material, Glass may provide notice by updating the website, updating the date above, or where appropriate by using account or product interfaces.

By continuing to use the services after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
